Highlight 1: Ai-Da is a robot that paints like an artist!
Ai-Da - the first AI drawing robot
Meet Ai-Da, the groundbreaking humanoid robot who has become the world's first AI robot artist, challenging the boundaries of creativity and raising thought-provoking questions about the role of technology in art and society. 🤖The bits:
Ai-Da, an ultra-realistic humanoid robot, has become the first robot to paint like a human artist.
Ai-Da's robotic arm, equipped with a brush, uses AI algorithms to select and create paintings, taking over five hours per painting.🖼️
The creator, Aidan Meller, sees the project as an ethical exploration of the implications of rapid technological change.
Ai-Da can answer questions and express her thoughts through a sophisticated language program. 🔮
She believes she is an artist if art means communicating something about humanity and the world around us.
Ai-Da was created in Oxford by a team of programmers, roboticists, art experts, and psychologists.
She will have a solo exhibition titled "Leaping into the Metaverse" at the Venice Biennale, exploring the interface between human experience and AI technology.
Meller has expressed concern over the fact that AI algorithms know individuals better than they know themselves; that’s scary. 🤯

Adobe has implemented new restrictions on the use of AI tools by its employees, including discouraging the use of personal email accounts for signing up for such services, as the company emphasizes responsible and ethical exploration of generative AI technology. 📧 Here are the bits:
Adobe is reportedly limiting employees' use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools, including restrictions on using personal emails for AI services.
An internal email from Chief Information Officer Cindy Stoddard instructs employees not to use personal emails or corporate credit cards for signing up for AI tools like ChatGPT.
Adobe has been introducing its own AI tools, such as Photoshop's Generative Fill and Project Gingerbread for image generation.
They encourage employees to seek out proprietary AI software and provide a list of "Don'ts" to ensure the responsible and ethical use of generative AI.
Other tech companies like Amazon, Alphabet, Apple, and Samsung have also implemented restrictions or guidelines on employee use of generative AI tools. 📑
